Home again after an enjoyable but very cold 5 day photographic trip to Venice. The cameras and I are just beginning to thaw out!

Good news for the start of 2012 - I've been invited to rejoin the Licentiate assessment panel of the RPS. (I've accepted!) In addition my image Icelandic Pony is to be used in a new RPS membership/marketing brochure.
At this time of year it's nice to look forward to 2012, and forthcoming photographic trips to Venice, Whitby, Barcelona, Iceland, and Yellowstone. I quite like this quotation which is sound advice:
The awards have been announced from the Smethwick International 2011. I've been awarded two FIAP Bronze Medals, one in PDI for Foggy Night (at the top of the Portfolios page), and the other in Monochrome Prints for "Patterned Plantation" here:

Home from a productive trip to Ireland and a photographic exploration of the Dingle peninsular, Co. Kerry. 15GB of RAW images to look at!.

The sponsored lecturers of Fotospeed are now collectively known as the Fotospeed Photographers. Our new Facebook page launched today.

Lovely news from Edinburgh Photographic Society's 149th Annual International Exhibition of Pictorial Photography 2011, - I gained an acceptance and a FIAP Ribbon for Icelandic Pony.

I was thrilled to have a print accepted in the PAGB inter federation print exhibition, and then be asked if my Icelandic Pony could be used for the poster, and the invitations!

The mail brought news of a print acceptence in this year's 100th Annual Exhibition of the London Salon, (Washday Cigarette).

Managed to elude the ash cloud and fly home from Iceland today! A good trip and lots of images to work on.

Good news arrived today that I have gained two acceptances in the RPS International Print Exhibition 2011, (with more than 2,500 entries). Washday Cigarette and Icelandic Pony strike again!
Returned home after a productive 4 day trip to Cornwall, working the beaches around Lands End.
